Stout, Ergonomic Little Carabiner, Perfect For Its Purpose

The small size, shape and flatness of this little carabiner make it much better suited as a key holder than anything I've previously used, which include heavy steel carabiners from the hardware store (which have teeth to keep the gate and body of the 'biner aligned; the corners of these teeth snag on everything), and climbing-rated aluminum 'biners, which are easier to get on/off belts because they don't have anything that can snag on clothes or split rings, continuous loops or soft shackles I splice. But this Belt Clip, as a purpose-built tool tends to work well not only because it doesn't snag on things, but because it's light weight and small enough to fit well in a pocket.

The wire gate on this Belt Clip takes a good lot of pressure to open. This can make operation slightly tedious, but the end result is very secure.
